hey guys! its late so i wont write too much, but heres an update on all the changes:

1. slight formatting changes to the original 4 fonts - the letters with accent marks have been raised to lie on the baseline with the rest of the letters. they were originally lower than the regular letters to make room up top for the accent marks. however, this just looked ugly, and made non-english phrases look a lot worse than english ones - which is not great for a couple obvious reasons. to fix this, i had to adjust the sprite sheet so that each character's dedicated spot was 1 pixel taller to make room. it was tedious but worth it, imo.
2. a new font has joined the pack! it's called Distype Mono, and its a monospace variant of Distype Serif. this one doesnt feature any major changes or new features. it does look pretty nice though! I havent tried it but i imagine it would be a good fit for coding and such.
3. a SECOND new font has hit the itch storefront: Distype Blocky! this one spawned from a series of impulsive decisions and i dont regret it in the slightest. each character is constrained to an 8x8 grid, and takes up as much space within that grid as possible. the original design concept did not include a second set of letters, but not implementing them was bound to cause issues, so i decided to just duplicate the base character set and tweak them until i came up with something i liked. I eventually settled on distorted, futuristic and slightly less legible variants of each character, usually made by subtracting and splitting the letter into smaller parts. this means that when using this font, the user has the option to use an entirely different charcter set of highly stylized characters as they wish. use them for emphasis! or disperse them randomly to add flavor! you can do whatever you want forever (as long as youre having fun).
